We are beginning in a new unit in 6th grade history. We will study the Lost Colony of Roanoke and the Jamestown colony in unit 4. The unit is posted in the pages section a the top of the blog.

Hey Mrs. Perlis the email isn't working so I'm going to post this as a comment so I can print it in class and paste it into the newspaper format
ReplyDeleteJohn White is in the spot light for today’s news because he held the colony together in some of its toughest times. He made peace with the Native Americans. Though some people didn’t like his demeanor he was a hero. He is leaving today because of an “accident” that happened. He was sitting next to a tree his gunpowder bag and it caught fire and exploded, almost tearing off his knee. He was a great person, but was this accident really an attempt to kill? Was this maybe an attempted assassination, by the Spanish? We may never know.
